2025-2026 Projects

Elevating Excellence: This project will replace outdated athletic uniforms and provide new, high-quality instruments for the fine arts program, expanding access and improving performance opportunities. Updated uniforms will foster confidence and school spirit, while new instruments will enhance instruction, participation, and musical excellence.

Play, Perform, Succeed: This project will provide equitable access to soccer and guitar lessons for students at Scarborough Elementary, a campus serving a predominantly socioeconomically disadvantaged community. Funding will support uniforms, equipment, and instruction for a new soccer program, along with guitars and materials for a classroom music program. Together, these initiatives promote teamwork, creativity, confidence, and well-being—empowering students to discover new talents, build lifelong skills, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Garcia Growing Minds: Garcia Elementary School is launching the Garcia Growing Minds Initiative to strengthen early literacy and expand STEM opportunities for all students. The project will provide high-quality reading materials, engaging classroom libraries, early interventions, and hands-on STEM resources supported by 1:1 technology access. By building strong literacy foundations and fostering critical thinking through STEM, this initiative prepares students to become confident readers, innovative problem solvers, and future-ready learners.

Project Lift: The initiative will provide high-quality literacy materials, engaging classroom libraries, early reading interventions, and hands-on STEM resources supported by 1:1 technology. By combining strong literacy foundations with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, this project prepares students to become confident readers, creative innovators, and lifelong learners.

Dashing Dillo’s: A running program for 3rd- and 4th-grade girls that promotes fitness, confidence, and lifelong healthy habits. Designed for students with limited access to extracurricular sports, the program provides a supportive space for girls to stay active, build self-esteem, and set personal goals. Funding will support running equipment, tracking tools, and incentives that celebrate achievement and perseverance.

Doing Good at Thurgood: This project empowers students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally through access to Fine Arts and Physical Enrichment programs. Many of our students face financial barriers that limit their exposure to performing arts and sports—experiences that inspire creativity, confidence, and teamwork. With funding, we will sustain our award-winning dance program and expand opportunities for artistic and athletic expression, helping students build resilience, a sense of belonging, and lifelong skills for success both in and beyond the classroom.
