2017 HISD State of the Schools Luncheon

The Houston ISD Foundation would like to cordially invite you to attend HISD’s 2017 State of the Schools luncheon.

We know you share our belief that all students in Houston deserve a high-quality public education that equips them for future success. That’s why we are asking you to join us in celebrating our schools’ mission: to educate the whole child. The HISD Foundation believes equity, literacy, innovation, college access, and great people are key ingredients for fulfilling that mission and eliminating disparities in educational opportunity and achievement.

We are also thrilled this year to launch our inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award and celebrate our honorees.

Yates alumnus Roland Martin is a broadcast journalist, nationally syndicated columnist and author who is a leading voice for issues affecting the African-American community.

Milby alumna Aleida Rios is vice president of operations for BP Gulf of Mexico and an oil and gas industry thought leader who advocates for diversity in STEM fields.

Tickets are available through Feb 6.

Thank you for all you do for Houston’s students. We are grateful for your support and hope to see you on February 15! Please share this invitation with fellow supporters of education.
